The Sweeping Wave of Chaos Part 2

Captain Wincor Dinishere

It seems that the Ancients on the Various Towers heed no more attention to the Mass Party. Moving furthur ahead on the straight road that led to a huge spanse of a forest, the Party noticed 3 figures running towards them. Before the unknown silouettes, the echoes of drums can be heard. Before long the party could hear the response to it. The Ancient Ulthuan Horns sounded in unison. Something was going to happen and the Party knew it was not something good.

"RUN!!!!!" Shouted Mesa as she gestured to the oncoming party who were on alert against her. Lord Bromric and Sir Jared.

As the minutes go by, the area was swarmed with thousands of beastmen. From one end of the forest to the other, Banners filled the area and more drums were heard at the other end.

What happen in the next few hours trascend briefly..
The invasion of Chaos has reached the west from the East. Manick, Bane of the South has finally come with an army of beastmen to defile the Ancient Guards. Though the Ancient Elves fought like Champions of the Old, and their power matched Manick himself, they were unable to stop the thousands upon thousands of Beastmen nad Chaos Warriors.
Before long. 2000 Beastmen lay dead while the Ancients simply dissipitated. The Ancient Mages doing their final bid to stop the flow of chaos by sacrificing themselves with one last disastrous spell. For a moment, there was silence, a pause that echoed awkwardly in the thick of battle for there was none left at such a sudden on both sides, and then the drums of war came again.
The party fled across the flat tundraland, and to their shock, the left flank of their groups was compromise by the chaos hordes. Caravon looked in a dazed at the charging horde numbering yet another 3 thousand.

It was a raging stampede that charged the hapless party. The imperial soldiers and the Merchant Elves, fought with swift evasive manuevres, accompanied with almost every magic spell used by the Mages and Shamans in the Part. From bolts of Lightnings to Magic Missiles, Charred bodies littered the floor as the Party made a mad dash for their lives back to the tunnel. It must be some God fated situation as the party barely made it out before the Slayers of Karak Kadrin came to their aid, at the cost of only a dozen men.

The Blood Fest in the Chokepoint of the tunnel lasted for Days. Beastmen being massacred in a butchery. From Cannon Fires, to the suicidal whirlwind attacks from the Slayers, Axe met hide, Sword met skin, Blood turned the Snows red.

Many of the Dwarves were surprised at the fact that the Chaos Army chose the most Harsh way to attack the Dwarf City. From this geographical position it was impossible. The land was deadly even reaching towards this tunnel, especially for a large army.

But it was not the City the Army was after.. But the Gem... Manick, loyal servant of the Deliverer came forth in admist the fighting. His council behind him. He approached the Observing party. Though the Dwarves choke the Army of Chaos, And unearthly road path the way for Manick to enter easily through the tunnel to the one who wield the gem...

His gaze unmoving, he stared at the Ogre without fear. His malice so strong, it striked the Heart of Ogren, but still the Ogre stood stubbornly in front of them while the Party gasped in awe at how this could happen, for it is definite that very powerful vile sorcery was at work.

"Hand what rightfuly belongs to the Deliverer.. Ogre" His Booming voice echoed in ambience around the area for the Party to hear.

"Light of the Lady shine upon us.."

The Sweeping Wave of Chaos Part 1

The party trudge on in the warm dank humidity of the ancient tunnel pass that wind thru the underground towards the World Edge Mountains. Ogren, Dinishere, Delenir and the Ogre Warband walked on, in search of their remaining party whom seemingly disappear after the fortnite. The Ogre Warlord was displeased with the mistrust the smallfolks had for him. Much had happened after the night had passed. An old adversary and his warband of ogres had stalked the party all the way into the depths of this forsaken desolated place. A grudge that had been breeding for years. The nameless adversary walked forth to challenge Ogren, the champion of many. The duel ended quick, apparently the nameless foolish challenger's experience and training for this combat was insufficient for the fury of Ogren. Shocked And Frightened, the opposing warband dispersed.

The party's fellowship was in an uneasy alliance as suspicion and fear fills the air. The Ogre was indeed too powerful, wielding the Snake's Eye, it is no knowing what the Ogre could do with the Gem. But while they navigate thru the chasms of these forgotten tunnel, little did they know of the observing eyes behinds them.

Lithir and the Arrowmerchants had been pulling all means to search for the one who wield the gem. The mysterious buyer was furious that the Famous Elves of the Arrowmerchant was not able to attained his artifact. Nevertheless, he doubled his offer to the Elves to get him the Gem. The Merchant Guild was reputed to serve their customers without fail, but Lithir was suspicious of the Buyer. Upon arriving at the Dwarf city of Karak Kadrin, his brother was able to aid him in the information of the Gem, it seems that the situation and predicament the guild has got itself into is tight. The credentials from the Buyer is unknown, and the Gem's hstory goes way beyond time and still the curiosity and his determination to get the job done forces him to go on to the trail of the One who took it.

And now, he and his retinue lays low, observing the vile ogre party walking onwards to what seems like an endless tunnel. To his surprise that was not all. More were inside this long forgotten and abandon passageway, for the elves heard the clatter of platemail and armor behind them. Quickly they hid among the shadows, and soon enough, the Imperial soldiers march without noticing the watchful eyes of the elves.

"The gem is worth more than I thought" muttered the Lithir under his breath. Slowly he creeps forward following both the Warband and the Soldiers who seemingly are tracking the Ogre Party too.

Soon the soldiers arrived in an opening, where not surprisingly the Ogre Party was awaiting...
Lithir expectantly knew that the Soldiers were ambushed and decided in an oddward fashion to charge out to meet the enemy to surprise them..

---------------------------

THE GATHERING OF NEW PEOPLE

Ogren was more amused than shocked at the sudden charge of the Elves from behind the ambushed Imperial Soldiers. He was definitely outnumbered, but all feared his wrath, and he could definitely take on 100 of them with the help of his loyal gnoblers and Shamans and if trustworthy, the Captain and his Elf Mage Companion could aid him.
Prepared, Ogren led out a Thundering Roar, Causing silence throughout the entire group. All frozed, regarding the Ogre with either fear or disdain.
But thankfully it was in this moment that familiar faces appeared among the crowded mob. Dinishere recognise the men of the Grimmikopf among the Imperial Soldiers and an extra detachment of 150 or so men led by a Squire by the name of Caravon Alastar. The second men to the Late Resepov Alastar.

Before long, the Elves and the Men of the Empire were able to finally sort out the misunderstanding. Seeing it would be better to combine might to find the missing pieces of the prophesy, Lithir forsakes getting the Snake's Eye and delving more into what truly does the Prophesy tell of the Cataclysmic weapon. The Squire takes on the quest to fight in the Light of the Empire alongside Dinishere.

Ogren could not really care less. In the Freezing tundra, his warband proceeded forward toward the Spire of Andome that lurked ahead. His determination to attained Leranorak was unmovable. But as he move step by step towards the dominating Tower, the snow grew heavier upon his feet. And before long, he could barely even move a muscle, immobolised by the enchantment.

Eyes peered out at him and the oncoming numbers of men. It was before long, a figure emerged from the Tower to seek the intent of this unlikely crew of adventurers. The Ancient Elf scrutinised all, questioning their motives, but it was all for show as the Elf did not regard the intent of the adventurers with much interest for His bounden duty to keep trespassers from going in and out of this area towards the World's Edge Mountain. For here lies the Sacred Grounds of the Ancients long before men even inhabited the Area, and when the Elves were in their supremacy, this was a border between the Realm of Chaos and the Elven Realms. Now, it is an abandon land and few venture here to go to the other side of the world.

Lithir and His Brother persuaded the Ancient Elf, while the Ogre was foolish enough to threaten him in order to go through this path. Looking at the whole detachment, The Ancient Elf Mage could sense that they are a reckless suicidal bunch. He pray that Chaos would sent them to their deaths rather than turn them against what they fight for now. The Ancient turned his head, sighing at the fact that the inevitably of death would come to the Second group he has seen in a rather short period of time.

Death awaits everyone here...
